Matt McAleer and Equities
- Markets took a time out to grind around recent levels
- Bid back in defensive sectors, as utilities tested current risk appetite
- Similar action in International this week, as markets pulled back
- We go into next week still looking at different areas in value
John Mousseau and Fixed Income
- Big fade in bonds this week, with 10 year yields settling around 3.75bps
- Not much economic data, but next week we'll get CPI, PPI and others
- Easier to approach trading in bonds going from higher to lower rates
- Commentary from the Fed continues to support a hawkish stance
