Happy Father’s Day.
I will be brief so that you can get right to this Sunday’s video offering — a wonderful message on YouTube.
My father was born in 1918, the year of the Spanish Flu. He grew up in the family grocery store. He worked there for his father, who worked there for his father. When I started work at the store, I was the fourth generation. Dad was US Navy in WW2. I was three when he came home. Those long-ago, deeply personal memories are now recalled with fondness and nostalgia.
