Buy Quality Assets on Dip, Not Junk: Cumberland’s Kotok (Radio-Podcast)

Q: David, what is your sense on a day like today? Would you be in there buying?
David: I would be readying to buy. We have been on these last couple of days of dips a little bit of a scaled buyer. We have targets lined up. We are watching prices come in to us. And we are watching the sentiment indicators, quantitative measures of them reach extremes. And they have now done that in the last couple of days. So we're seeing the extremes that invite us to start to scale into stocks.
Q: So David, some folks are afraid of catching a falling knife and prefer maybe to see a day or two of green on the screen before they decide it's safe enough to get back in. Is that a reasonable strategy or do you just try to pick where you think the right valuation entry-point is and then just have that conviction.
